Lesson Fees
-
30-minute lessons cost £16.00.
-
60-minute lessons cost £28.00.
-
Occasionally, I may suggest books or resources to support learning; these should be purchased by the pupil or parent.
-
A £50 deposit is required to secure your lesson slot. This deposit will be refunded when you decide to stop lessons and all terms have been followed.
-
Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to a reasonable increase. Any changes to fees will be communicated in advance and will apply from the date specified in the notice.
Payment & Teaching Weeks
-
Lessons are paid in advance each half-term via bank transfer.
-
You will receive an invoice by email, which must be paid on or before the due date.
-
Lessons are confirmed only after payment is received.
-
If payment is not received by the due date, the full amount remains payable. Any lessons will be booked from the following tutoring week after payment has been received.
-
Teaching weeks follow the academic calendar; a full schedule is available on request.
Lesson Schedule
-
Lessons take place weekly, at the same day and time each week.
-
One-off or occasional lessons are not offered, as regular attendance supports steady progress.
Location & Lesson Times
-
Lessons are held in the music room on the first floor at the front of my home.
-
Teaching days are Monday to Friday (afternoons/evenings) and Saturday (mornings/afternoons).
-
Lessons will take place on bank holidays if they fall on your usual lesson day.
-
Please arrive promptly—not early or late—and wait outside if the previous student is still finishing.
School Holidays
-
No lessons during half terms, Christmas, or Easter holidays.
-
Summer lessons run from late July through August. You’ll receive a form to select the dates and times that suit you. Lesson availability is limited to certain days and times.
Child Protection (Under 19s)
-
Parents are welcome to wait in the living room during lessons.
-
If you prefer to drop off and collect your child, please notify me in advance.
-
Please ensure timely collection, as late pickups impact other students’ lessons.
Cancellations, Missed, or Rescheduled Lessons
-
Missed lessons are not refunded or automatically rescheduled.
-
If you give at least 48 hours’ notice, I will try to offer an alternative slot within the same half-term, if available.
-
Rescheduling requests cannot be transferred between half-terms or during the summer break.
-
If a suitable alternative cannot be found, the original lesson fee still applies.
-
If I cancel a lesson, the cost will be deducted from your next invoice.
Behaviour, Conduct & Safeguarding
-
I am fully DBS-checked and committed to providing a safe, respectful learning environment.
-
Pupils are expected to behave respectfully at all times; any concerns will be discussed with parents.
-
Disruptive behaviour may result in the lesson being paused or stopped.
-
Please respect my home, including no eating or drinking in the waiting area.
-
Occasionally, gentle physical guidance may be used during lessons (e.g., hand positioning). If this causes discomfort, please let me know so I can adjust accordingly.
Practice Between Lessons
-
Regular practice is essential for progress.
-
Pupils will receive tasks to complete between lessons.
-
Students are asked to have a dedicated notebook to track notes and practice tasks.
-
Parents of younger pupils are encouraged to help establish a consistent practice routine.
Communication
-
All communication will be via WhatsApp.
-
Please keep messages polite and respectful.
CCTV & Safety
-
CCTV is installed to protect my home and property.
-
A Ring doorbell and cameras are located in the music room and living room (waiting area).
Parking
-
Parking is limited. Where possible, please park on the driveway or directly outside my house. To help maintain good relationships with neighbours and ensure the safety of all road users, please avoid parking opposite my house, on corners, or outside neighbouring homes.
Ending Lessons
-
To stop lessons, please provide a half-term’s notice via email or WhatsApp.
-
For example, notice given during Autumn Half Term 1 means lessons will continue until the end of Autumn Half Term 2.
-
Notice can only be given during the academic year (September to July) and does not include the summer break.
Agreement
-
By taking lessons with Lively Keyz, you agree to these terms and conditions.
